Then turn the knob until the display lights up. Here’s the deal: if the unit was programmed before you got it, those stored channels are the only ones you can talk on. Brand new out of the box? Don’t expect any channels at all.
That’s where hytera programming comes in. You need the CPS software and a programming cable that matches your model. Read the radio, punch in your frequencies, write it back. First time feels scary, honestly. But once the software sees the radio, it’s a few clicks.
Quick checks if stuff still isn’t working: everyone has to be on the same channel and the same tone settings. Two Hyteras on different sub-audio tones won’t hear each other even on the same frequency. And nobody tells you this but model menus are all over the place in Hytera land, so keep your manual nearby.
